My wife Stacey and I want to thank all of you who have encouraged me to run for office again, particularly in light of a special election for the US Senate, an open seat for the US House and a state government desperately in need of new leadership.
My family and I have not yet made any final decision on running for office next year, but we look forward toward continuing to listen to you and finding the best way to most effectively make a positive difference for our community and our country. Aloha.

It is with great sadness that Stacey and I learned of U.S. Senator Daniel K. Inouye’s passing. There has been no more consistent or passionate advocate for the people of Hawai’i in Congress over the past fifty-three years. Senator Inouye was an American hero and selfless public servant, and it was an honor to serve with him in Hawaii’s congressional delegation. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Words cannot express my sincere gratitude to all of you. We have been together for over a year now - fighting to restore fiscal responsibility and accountability to government, and ultimately fighting for a two-party democracy in the State of Hawaii. Unfortunately, we fell short yesterday and the responsibility for that is entirely mine.
You have been the best supporters and friends a man could ever ask for. And, I am continually humbled by your faith and confidence in me. It has been a true honor to serve you, and I look forward to serving you in some other capacity in the future.
On behalf of myself and my family, thank you for everything you have done, for all of your hopes, your prayers and your hard work through this campaign. May God bless you, the State of Hawaii and the United States of America.

Our campaign is all about caring for people. Charles is working hard to preserve the American Dream for the next generation. He is fighting to make sure that our children and grandchildren continue to grow up in an America where their future is charted by the size of their dreams, not the size of the debt we leave them.
