KITV: Djou Deployed for 6 Months
HONOLULU -- Republican congressional candidate former Rep. Charles Djou is scheduled to leave Friday for a six-month deployment to Afghanistan.
Djou is a major in the U.S. Army Reserves. He is also running for the seat occupied for seven months -- the 1st Congressional District of urban Honolulu.
He lost the seat to Democrat Colleen Hanabusa. He will likely face off with Hanabusa again.
